There is a continuous creation of space and time, a creation of death and life, originating from an eternal and infinite spiritual realm. The big bang simply never stopped banging!
021.030 Have not those who disbelieve seen that the heavens and the earth were a mend (joined together) so we ripped them apart and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?
067.002 Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.
Was there a raw material for creation?
It is also worth noting that the Quran talks about a ripping of the heavens and earth while the Quran uses the term exploding for the gushing of rivers.
018.033 Both gardens yielded their produce, and failed not in the least therein, and We caused a river to gush forth (the Arabic word is explode) in their midst.
The Earth is Older
Than the universe!
One of the most embarrassing facts, plaguing cosmology during the last years, has been that some stars seemed older than the age of the universe predicted by the big bang; the age of the universe was often computed to be younger than some of the planets and stars!

021.030 Have not those who disbelieve seen that the heavens and the earth were a mend (joined together) so we ripped them apart and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?
041.011 Then He proceeded to the sky while it was smoke, so He said to it and to the earth come both willingly or by obligation, they said we come willingly.
041.012 Where He ordered them seven skies in two days and inspired in each sky its order and We bedecked and protected the lowest sky with lights, that is the planning of The Almighty and Knowledgeable One.
002.029 He is Who created for you all that is in the earth, then turned to the heaven, so He made them seven heavens, and He knows all things.
These signs clearly say that the creation of the heavens and earth followed the ripping of the heavens and earth, or the water and soil. That smoke which contained the first basic elements of matter, no wonder then that the universe is younger than the planets.
The Expanding Universe
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
051.047 And the sky We built with might and We shall be expanding.
Why the universe is accelerating instead of slowing
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
009.036 The number of months with Allah is twelve months in Allah's book, the day when He created the heavens and the earth, of them four are sacred; that is the right religion, therefore be not unjust to yourselves in them, and fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together; and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty.
The Prophet peace be upon him said: "Time has turned to its original form which was current when Allah created the Heavens and the Earths. The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul- Qa' da, Dhul-Hijja and Muharram, and Rajab of Mudar which comes between Jumadi-ath-Thaniyah and Sha ban. Which month is this? We said: Allah and his prophet know better, and then he was silent until we thought he was going to call it other than its name, he said: is not the sacrifice day? We said: sure yes, he said: so your blood and wealth and honour are sacred unto you, as the sacredness of your day, this day in this country of yours, in this month of yours, and you shall meet your Lord, and He shall ask you concerning your deeds, therefore do not return stray after me, some of you striking the necks of others, It is incumbent upon the witness, to inform the absent, may the one conveying (or receiving) it comprehend it better than the one who heard it. Then he said: haven’t I conveyed Allah’s message to you?” Bukhari: 4406
054.001 The hour drew near and the moon split.
“The moon was split into two parts during the lifetime of the Prophet peace be upon him” Bukhari: 4866
God is preventing the heavens from collapsing
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
022.065 Did you not see that Allah has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the earth and the ships running in the sea by His command? And He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except with His permission; surely Allah is Compassionate, Merciful to people.
035.041 Surely Allah upholds the heavens and the earth lest they cease, and if they should fail, there is none who can uphold them after Him; surely He is the Forbearing, the Forgiving.
Time is Relative
In the name of Allah the Merciful the Compassionate
070.003 From Allah to Whom the channels of ascent belong. (The Arabic word ascend “Araja” means going in a curved line).
070.004 The angels and the spirit ascend to Him in a day that is equal to fifty thousand years.
032.004 Allah Who created the skies and the earth and what in between them in six days then He descended on the Throne you have no Guardian or Intercessor other than Him will you remember.
032.005 He manages the order from the sky to the earth then it ascends to Him in a day that is equal to one thousand years of your reckoning.
032.006 That is the Knower of the unseen and the seen the Almighty the Compassionate.
022.047 Allah never breaks His promise and a day at your Lord’s is like one thousand years of your reckoning.
030.055 On the Day that the Hour shall be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded!
030.056 And those who are given knowledge and faith will say; you tarried within Allah's Book until the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection but you did not know.
The days of creation
In the name of Allah the Merciful the Compassionate
041.009 Say you are disbelieving in Him Who created the earth in two days, and set up equals with Him, that is the Lord of the Worlds.
041.010 And He made therein anchors (mountains) above it, and He blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for those who ask.

007.054 Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself on the Throne, He throws the veil of night over the day which it pursues incessantly and the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
010.003 Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself on the Throne managing the affair, there is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah your Lord so worship Him, will you not then remember.
011.017 And He is the one who created the skies and the earth in six days and His Throne was on water to test you who’s deeds are best.
025.059 Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and He is firmly established on the throne, ask then an informed concerning Him.
050.038 And certainly We created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and there touched Us not any weariness.
057.001 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth declared the glory of Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
057.002 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death; and He has power over all things.
057.003 He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent: and He has full knowledge of all things.
057.004 He is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He mounted the Throne. He knows that which goes deep down into the earth and that which comes forth out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which ascends up into it, and He is with you wherever you are; and Allah sees what you do.
