My letter to the media and human rights organizations, about human rights violations in Qatar.
Read this from Qatar’s national health association on their website: “a health care system that will provide the most effective and advanced health care to its people and to become a model for the world to follow.”
And compare to the following, and as you read count the human rights violations and help pass on.
Health Care Standards in Qatar
To all the silent devils who work in Hamad Hospital and around it and sleep fine while daily crimes are committed. To whomever it may concern, about health care standards in Qatar which pants after international medals, where the elite are engaged in a big monopoly, while people suffer from what happens at their hospitals. I was advised by employees in the hospital, who complained to me about the state of the hospital, to talk to the ruling family through their websites.
Read my story and have a good look at the obvious influence of the American mafias that consume their people, try to franchise the Canadian health care system and democratize Arabia. Arabia that ended up with no international or Islamic laws, after America established their same mobs system in the area, where Coma is not just a movie. The file is about disasters of unheard of medical crimes against two persons from the same family. Fifty pages, between complaint letters and the details of their crimes and follow up, and the uselessness of legal pursuit, I summarize here in few pages.
After the threat to my safety that I received from Hamad Hospital, above their crimes, I report to the media, to international human rights organizations and to whomever it concerns, to have a look as to where the countries of the bearers of the Quran ended up, through the details of the crimes done to my son and me at Hamad Hospital, and to report their extreme protection for the criminals, and their threat of “causing harm to me”. Where the office of the hospital’s manager Doctor Hanan Alkuwari threatened me, when I said that they have left me no other option after all this waiting, more than eighteen months of waiting for a reply, except to contact Canadian lawyers, they threatened me to cause harm to myself, because I am exposing the reputation of the corporation and the country to danger.
I was advised by the Canadian and Lebanese embassies to hire a lawyer, and to report the threat I received from Hamad Hospital to the local police headquarters and the court. When I headed to the Municipal Police headquarters on the 6th of August, I was directed to Al Sadd police station, where I was redirected to the first station, then I was referred to another station, where an officer informed me that a report against Hamad Hospital, requires the Head of the Police, he advised me to come back in the morning to talk to him, and warned me to be extremely cautious not to say anything wrong. A Sudanese officer at Al Sadd station asked me for a recording of the call when I was threatened, a proof! And he said that I am exaggerating the meaning of what was meant by the threat.
I contacted two lawyers last year, one through the Canadian embassy’s list, who referred me to a known doctor who persuaded me of the uselessness of filing a case, and a Qatari lawyer who demanded two reports from outside clinics for my son’s case. The consultant who wrote it tried for months to come back to Doha after that, and the dentist who is treating my son now refused saying that private dentist’s visas are issued at Rumailah Hospital which is a branch of Hamad Hospital. And the lawyer demanded that my son stays in Doha through the case which might take two years. I also knew that there are thousands of cases against Hamad Hospital, and that cases take at least two years, and that it is not worth the trouble and the waiting, because there is an army of judges and lawyers whose job is to defend Hamad Hospital, and that they fight fiercely for the hospital and that a case in a thousand passes.
Last March I raised my complaints to The Health Committee, I handed a detailed complaint letter including medical reports for my son and me. After one week they told me that they sent my case to the health ministry and the hospital’s management. After two months of more cheating and delays between the three authorities, the ministry, committee and the hospital, I knew from the secretary of the health committee that they have simply returned my case to the hospitals management two days after I gave it to them, and they told me that they have no authority over the hospital. After the secretary of Doctor Hanan Alkawari called me to ask me to bring my complaint letters again because they have not received anything from the ministry or the committee, two months after my case was forwarded to them by the committee, and after the manager doctor Hanan Alkawari refused to meet me. When I said that the least thing they should do is to give me a written reply of their decision and that I was left no other option but to contact Canadian lawyers, I was told by doctor Hanan Alkawari’s secretary that I would get nothing from that except causing harm to myself. Why I asked. She said for exposing the reputation of the corporation and the country to danger. I said if that was a threat, I know well who I am dealing with and they should know that I have an e-mail ready with address to 1000 locations, lawyers, Islamic authorities and publishers, I will send the e-mail with the attachment, that has all the letters I sent your hospital that contain all your scandals, to my family and they are lawyers, professors, doctors and engineers in Canada, USA, Europe, Lebanon and Dubai, I have a big family and friends. I will ask them as soon as they hear I am hurt in any way or any of my family to send it to the addresses. And tell Dr. Hanan AlKawari that she is responsible for the stable she is running and for its reputation, and the country’s.
At the end I was referred to an employee at a sub management offices, who told me after a week that the investigations committee had reached a decision that there were no medical mistakes committed against my son or me more than a year ago, and that it is hard for them to back up now because that affects their credibility. Just like that. I was told that I cannot get a letter concerning the result of their investigations or their decision, which they reached few days after my complaint letter in May 2007. After that I wrote to the Head of the follow up section at The Amiri Diwan Mr. Saad Al Rumaihi, through their website, but they did not reply.
The investigations committee did not consider the report of the plastic surgeon at Rumaila Hospital, who testified to the medical crime, the crime Rumaila Hospital offered to fix with a serious surgery at their primitive slaughter house where they routinely fix such mistakes as I learned from the manager, and he said he will send his report to the management? That was directly after Rabindranath Sivam the head of the orthodontics consultants at Rumaila evening private clinics, sent his report to the management in Hamad Hospital right after I wrote to them. Sivam the criminal responsible for my son’s suffering who forged an x-ray that belongs to a healthy match, to hide his crime and use it as a proof that he had finished his work in the proper way in 2005. I knew that doctor Alkaabi told Sivam to leave within days from my writing to his office in May 2007, but he was given a year to finish his patients cases, I knew that last March. When I realized what was going on and wrote to the Health committee, Doctor Alkaabi left the medical management within few days after that, and I learned that Sivam is leaving to a new prestigious dental centre called the future.
Where are the authorities from what is happening? And where do they stand from what happened to my son and me? And where does the medical director doctor Saad Al Kaabi stand from that, and he had been removed from his position lately days after I raised my complaint to the health committee, and he was the cover behind Sivam’s arrogance and his crime against my son, and neglecting and hiding my complaints. My letters to Hamad Hospitals management between complaints and the details of the crimes done to my son and me, and the records of the details of their follow up which are not less criminal than their medical crimes, lie in fifty pages, with it the x-ray forged by my son’s doctor.
My son had complained of sharp pain in his stomach in 2006. On the 5th of Sept. 2006, we were referred to Hamad Hospital by Qatar Petroleum Clinic for endoscopy. It took eight months with 12 visits to evening clinics until the endoscopy was approved, and I found out that my son has a hiatal hernia. I had to watch him drown in his sleep, not able to take a decision to take him out of school and away for tests, and struggled to convince the doctors to perform the necessary investigations, but the doctors had to keep us coming back and paying for appointments, until they approved to do the endoscopy.
In March 2007, the orthodontist consultant who had been treating my son’s teeth for more than five years finished his work. I took my son who made a serious complaint that there was no space for his tongue in his mouth for consultations, and found out that the orthodontist consultant had narrowed his upper jaw instead of expanding it during the five years of monthly visits and daily work with elastics. His teenage years and weight gain had partly masked his profile changes, when I suspected something was wrong. When I told his dentist about my concerns for the delay of the treatment and worries of something, he mocked and said that I should worry about his nose. He sent us to an Indian nose doctor, a friend of his at Hamad Hospital, who did not notice the narrowness in his upper jaw, prescribed strong nose drops till my son is eighteen, when we can do an operation to his nose to ease his breathing difficulty. That was revealed lately to be caused by the narrowing of the upper jaw. The lack of orthodontic treatment after more than five years resulted in requiring a serious upper jaw and facial reconstructive surgery in Canada. I was advised to search for the best surgeons. The operation will require hospitalization for three months and six months of preparation with braces before and after the operation, which will cost my son an academic year and might put his life in danger, that made me take the responsibility of the decision to repeat the dental treatment at another clinic and try to correct the narrowness in his upper jaw, and to give him a year to graduate from Doha College. Had his orthodentist who never mentioned anything wrong in the last year and a half when we were told we are waiting for one tooth to move to fit the retainers and finish, had he at least abandoned the job a year and half earlier when the treatment was supposed to finish, he would have given us a chance to correct the situation during the time my son’s profile was changing.
The harm done to my son because of this crime is a heavy burden that will follow him for the rest of his life. I am not sorry that when he looks back that he will not regret not wanting to come back to the Arab world, I am sorry that I brought him here to grow up among Muslims, who we did not meet much of them in the Arabic world. My son is still receiving treatment after nine years in dental clinics, his treatment was supposed to be finished in 2005, five years after the start of orthodontic treatment for a mild class three that ended needing a serious operation.
This happened when I was sinking in serious health problems because of doctors without certificates or decent management, to save on a country panting for international medals, and with no accounts for their crimes to protect the reputation of the country. In the last two years since Qatar petroleum clinic referred me to Hamad Hospital, I sank in and I never had the chance to recover from the chain of medical mistakes at Hamad Hospital, and also never had the chance to leave to seek medical treatment in Canada because of the sequence of disasters for my son and me. In March 2006 I entered H.H. Emergency because of a serious bacterial infection that I got at Hamad Hospital, it was not treated right and I was not informed about its name or nature, but turned out to be serious bacteria and unless treated promptly in the right way would cause a life threat. The infection recurred in three months, and three times at the beginning of this year, it is immune to antibiotics now that the next time it attacks there might not be antibiotics left that it is not resistant to. In March 2006, three weeks after the infection, I had a chain reaction, my immune system was triggered. The two thyroid doctors I was checking with at Hamad Hospital evening clinic, failed at treating it right or to tell me what is happening despite my serious complaints for nine months when my TSH was 0, throughout my follow up visits at Hamad hospitals evening private clinics. They failed to refer me to or ask another doctor. It turned out that the dosage of medication was wrong. I was started on the lowest dose which was increased gradually, where for few months I continued uselessly on the highest dose. Two weeks after moving to another doctor, my hyper thyroid stabilized. In those nine months of TSH: 0 I developed serious hyper tension and was on different blood pressure medications, for months my B.P. kept reaching 190/130, and my bones aged in few months.
At that time, in the beginning of July 2006 I injured my lower back, I could not sit for more than six months, I was in real danger of lower paralysis, none of the orthopedic doctors investigated my problem right and I was made to sit on ice bags at the physiotherapy centre of Hamad Hospital, which caused the healing of the broken coccyx to heal the wrong way, and made me unable to sit for months. When I grew totally confused at the speed of the chain reactions and my inability to understand what is happening or find the right treatment, the angry doctor Chacko head of the diseases section, who had informed me lately that this kind of mistake falls under his responsibility, and that the treatment was wrong, he photographed me with his mobile camera in the parking lot after my appointment at the complaints office. I was stalked by guards, important medical information was kept from me by many doctors, and I was prevented from getting my blood test results, at my last visit to the evening private clinics at hamad Hospital my file was hidden, I realized in what kind of a mob I had been caught and did not go back.
Last March I went to Aspetar Hospital seeking consultation for then increasing immobility after my previous lower back injury. A Swiss doctor there asked for an x-ray and told me had I come earlier, the right physiotherapy could have helped heal the broken coccyx in the right way, I will have to sit with pain for the rest of my life, because an operation is too dangerous and not guaranteed. But he said I would benefit from therapy. The treatment he described worked fine in the first two sessions at their physiotherapy centre, my mobility improved but two wrong treatments from my therapist, and despite my caution resulted in causing me to have to go for a major operation, and is causing real deterioration. After two and half months since my complaint letter to the management of Aspetar Hospital I received a letter from the management that they have washed their hands from the problem they caused me. I raised my complaint to the office of the president of Aspire Zone, Sheikh Jasem Al Thani, on the 26th of July, and still waiting for a reply.
During this long record of medical disasters at Hamad Hospital I was carrying the ever present nightmare of my son’s suffering because of an unheard of orthodontic treatment at Rumaila evening dental clinic. What kind of cosmic scale evil hurricane swallowed me and my son? My writings about the details of the medical crimes and the equal crimes of the follow up make up a book. My son is leaving soon to university in Canada, and to continue his treatment after almost eight years of unheard of orthodontic treatment. My son was a cheerful, free spirited young man, with a long record of straight A’s in all his subjects and very nice comments from all his teachers.
My chance to flee with what is left of my life has come, but I refuse to leave my case and legal rights now. The details of the medical crimes and the inhuman crimes of the follow ups made me decide to delay my leaving to Canada and my medical treatment to pursue the criminals responsible for my son’s suffering and mine, even after their threat.
These crimes happened when I was getting ready for the time of harvest, after the many year of watching over the future of the children, and to continue my writing, but I woke up to a reality that has nothing to do with Islam or civilization, and to live the nightmare of Hamad Hospital’s crime with my son, whom I crossed continents for him and his brother and sister’s future, while I race with death that was brought early by the criminals of Hamad Hospital and those responsible for them.
What happened to my son and me was not preordained by God, no one’s life should be cut short or turn into a disaster because of the lack of responsibility and the absence of justice. My file is a recording of the details of a farce not heard of in a country that spends millions on trade projects. May that my son’s story with the criminals and my story with their leaders be a witness to a reality that only God knows about, because of the silent witnesses in the Arabic world.

For your information the NHA has no control whatsoever over the Hamad Medical Corporation. We are a completely separate organisation.
However, the recent announcement of the formation of the Supreme Council for Health that will encompass both the NHA and HMC under the leadership of Dr Ghalia Al Thani is good news to all of us involved with the improvement of healthcare in Qatar.

I sure have mentioned in my letter that there is no authority for the Health ministry or the committee over Hamad Hospital,
"I knew from the secretary of the health committee that they have simply returned my case to the hospital's management, and they told me that they have no authority over the hospital."
But they told me that after two month of handing my complaint letter to them.
For all of you involved with the improvement of health care in Qatar, I have left in my letter lots for your information, about what is going on and needs to be addressed until the Hospital runs NORMALLY, before you can aim to be an example for the world to follow.
There are hundreds of stories worse than mine, I will tell you about one, the most recent I learned of, a young girl had a car accident, broke her spine, Dr. Ali Rida the head of neurosurgery decided to go for surgery, her mom who is a doctor refused, she consulted with other doctors and they approved, she sent the reports to France and they supported her decision, metal rods and clips were going to be planted in her spine, her recovery would take months, and she will need other operations later in her life, while left to heel normally would take a month. Here is the real story, Dr. Rida because her mom refused to go for the operation, refused to prescribe the brace, and to check on her for days, and no other doctors did. The brace is a cast to protect and support her spine, the only place that can custom make the brace is Rumaila, her mom tried to order from England but the brace has to be custom made. I went tonight to speak to him he refused, the complaints office at Hamad failed to call back after informing them about the issue, and doctors in Rumaila are afraid to interfere. That could bring you another legal case when her mom wakes up from her situation, but you are immune.
Here is the problem, this girl was extremely lucky not to be paralyzed, one move is all it takes for that. She lies in bed still and does not sleep, her mom does not sleep too of fear that her daughter might roll on her side in her sleep.
If my story was not enough to wake you up, or this, nothing will. Hope this nformation and other horror stories at Hamad Hospital prompt all of you there at the Health Committee to move and do something real.

The pictures of the primitive slaughter house where they offered to correct the crime they did to my son, the hospital for plastic surgery that looks like a moving construction site trailers behind The Rumaila Dental Hospital, and the contrasting pictures of the close by legendary pearl project and the most civilized Islamic Art Museum of the highest international standards.
That is while I work alone on the most important research in the Quran, without even a decent public library, and get forced into most inhuman conditions and humiliating situations in order to expose the criminals.
