Doha, Qatar.
Dear Doctor Saad Al Kaabi,
I am writing to you asking for an investigation and explanation, regarding the fifteen months of suffering till now, caused to me by your hospital.
In the next seven pages you will find the details of my problem with your hospital, how you gave me Klebsiella, hid it from me, did not treat it right, or any of the other problems it caused. Or the main problem, that I was referred to your hospital for.
On the 26th of October 2005 I was referred to The Women’s Hospital by Qatar Petroleum Clinic, regarding further evaluation for 18 months problem of lower abdominal pain.
Between January and March 2006, I was referred twice by the Women’s Hospital to the physio therapy centre.
- 8/3/06 Was the date I entered H.H.Emergency for the Klebsiella infection.
- 28/3/06 Qatar Petroleum Clinic referred me to Doha Clinic for Eye pressure and there I was diagnosed with hyper thyroid.
- 28/3/06 Qatar Petroleum Clinic thyroid test: TSH: 0 - T4 :56.17 – T3:23.33.
- 15/4/06 Qatar Petroleum Clinic referred me to Hamad Hospital Thyroid Clinic.
You can check the number of evening clinic visits I paid your hospital since March, 2006. Not including the frustrations of the long waiting between appointments, the two hours waiting at the clinic with very bad ankles, low back pain and rising blood pressure, and leaving the clinic every time with more questions than I came with. And the bigger question: what kind of doctor next?
And find enclosed copies of three medical files:
- Reports file, including referrals from Q.P. to The Women’s Hospital and Hamad
Hospital, and few of the referrals between different departments at your hospital.
- Klebsiella file.
- Thyroid file.
And information about Klebsiella, how it is contracted, and what complications it causes.

The last two doctors I saw were Dr. Asem at Nephrology, and Dr. Hammoudah at Rheumatology. In my first complaint letter, I wrote details about my visits to their clinics, I was stalked by guards then, my file was hidden and I was prevented from getting my blood test results. There I saw where I have been caught, and left Hamad Hospital since.

I did a search about Klebsiella, and went on the 7th of January 2007 to see the consultant in charge of the Diseases at Hamad Hospital, Dr. Chacko. And found out that the treatment with Cefuzime, Cefurocxime 250 mg. twice daily for 10 days, was not the proper treatment and that is why it recurred in June, where I was given Bactiflox for 10 days. He said it can still recur, and the treatment is an antibiotic given daily for 6 months and asked for a urine culture, and another urine test at my next appointment on 28 January 2007.
When I told Dr. Chacko that I got this infection from the physio therapy centre, he said yes, that is the most common place for that kind of infection, he then asked which centre, I said the only one I know the hospital has, close to the Hospital, He asked what was the treatment for? I said Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation for bladder infection that was only cured after I took the cefuzime and I was sent to physiotherapy without a urine test. And the device was not disinfected between uses. He said but you bring your own sponges! I said the sponges go on a porous rubber pad that does not get disinfected between uses! He then said that this falls under his responsibilities, and that he will see to that matter.
I went back to see Dr. Chacko on the 28th of January, 2007, he said Mabrook! The culture is clear, I said but it was also clear in March and June 2006, after the treatments. He said if you feel anything come right away, I asked isn’t Klebsiella and autoimmune diseases related? He said no. I said that I checked with a Nephrology doctor last week for my back problem, but I do not know if it is kidney or back pain, he said you need to see Rheumatology not Kidney or Ortho for that! Then Dr. Chacko gave me a lecture on personal hygiene on my way out!
Doctor Chacko head of diseases, photographed me with his mobile camera in the parking lot after my appointment at the complaints office, he was very angry that I complained. I was stalked by guards after that, important medical information was kept from me by many doctors, my file was hidden and I was prevented from getting my blood test results.
